Mission
The mission of Gates County High School’s school counseling program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. School counselors are professional school advocates who provide support to capitalize on student potential and academic achievement. Through collaborative efforts with all stakeholders, school counselors facilitate the support system necessary to ensure an equitable, educational environment that empowers all students to be college and career ready and to maximize student potential in becoming productive members of society.
